I'm back

So I'm back after a busy weekend full of cookouts and family gatherings. Hope everyone had a safe Memorial day! Lately I've had alot on my mind. Mostly these things have been about the past and decions I've made along the way. Friday while sitting here watching it rain I decided why worry about things that happend then because you can't change them. I'm happy with just about all the choses I've made and the other ones I can live with because I can only look to the future. The future looks bright for me and my family so I'm proud to say I've given up the past and I'm looking ahead to what the future holds!!!

Memorial Day 2008

"Over one hundred years ago, Memorial Day was established to commemorate those who died in the defense of our national ideals. Our ideals of freedom, justice, and equal rights for all have been challenged many times since then, and thousands of Americans have given their lives in many parts of the world to secure those same ideals and insure for their children a lasting peace. Their sacrifice demands that we, the living, continue to promote the cause of peace and the ideals for which they so valiantly gave of themselves."

Those words were spoke by Ronald Reagan in 1981, but they still hold some reverence to the world we live in today. There are many men and women overseas dedicating their lives so you and your children can live in the type of World we live today. Please take some time this weekend and remember to think about those people (past and present) who have made it possible for you to go out and shop freely at the many sales that go on during a holiday like this one.

To all the men and women serving our country we thank you for your dedication and sacrifice you have made so we can all live in a world of peace and freedom!

withdraws

Ok seriously I honestly believe I'm going to be going through CSI withdraws! The season finalie was lastnight and it was a douzy! Just in case you missed it Warrick is accused of murdering the mobster Lou Gedda. Grissiom is convinced he is innocent and investagates the case. It turns out Warrick was framed by a mole in the department.Charges are dropped and Warrick is demoted but he still has a job at CSI. Then sadly right before the show went off The mole (won't say who -you'll have to find out for yourself!) shot Warrick! It was sad lol!! I've been a fan of CSI for quite awhile so something like that didn't surprise me but did they have to kill him?? I knew actor Gary Dourdan wasn't renewing his contract and that he had been busted with drugs. Warrick Brown you will be missed by all!!!

The best things in the world

This two crazy kiddos are my world. They have taught me so many things in the (almost) three years I've been a mommy. One of the greatest things I've learned from them is that you can never realize how much your own parents love you until you are a parent yourself. The moment I layed eyes on Abbi I loved her more then anything in the whole wide world. The same happened the moment I saw Elijah. It's been a BuMpY road having two kids so close together but it's also something God blessed me with. Growing a baby inside of you, then giving birth to the baby, then getting to watch the child grow is honestly the greatest miracle God could give a women.

To my children: I love you with all my heart and soul!! Thank you for the happiness you've brought me!

Don't you just LOVE this weather??

OK I don't know about you guys but this TN weather is driving me crazy!! I'm so tired of worrying if we're all going to get blown away or not! I really hate storms seriously my heart starts beating really fast,I start shacking, and I just want to crawl under the covers and hide. Earl love to make fun of me about this fear(and my fear of spiders but we won't go there!)! It just seems that we've dodged storms numerous times that our time is coming. My heart goes out to those people that lost there homes and loved ones in last nights and the past few weeks storms. Maybe we should move to Canada! You never hear about them having storms. No-it's alittle bit too far north for this southern girl!!

Me and my bright ideas

Every since I worked at a preschool I've believed that it really is a great thing for a child. My children aren't exactly preschool age but I had a bright idea the other day-Home preschooling! I'm sure some of you are asking "Is she crazy?" Yes I do believe so!! It's only going to be my two heathens! I'm going to work on stuff like sitting still and listening for long then half a second. I do hope to get them to do some crafts but nothing really fancy! If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear from you!! Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!

Just in time for Mother's Day

For Mother's Day I wanted to honor a very special mom-my own mother.

It really wasn't until I became a mother myself that I truly realized how much my mom sacrificed so we could have things. My mom really didn't have any friends and if we couldn't go with her somewhere she wouldn't go. She taught me to put your trust in God and to be independent and how to work hard at something you really believe in or want. Thanks to her I am trying to raise my own children with the values I grew up with. I truly love my mother and I'm very thankful for everything she has done to raise me and for the things she has instilled in me.

To all the great mom's out there:
